Alain Tapp is a “Professeur Agrégé” in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montreal. He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees (Ph.D., 1999) at the University of Montreal, then held a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre for Applied Cryptographic Research at the University of Waterloo from 1999-2001. He was also briefly a post-doctoral fellow at McGill University in 2001 before joining the faculty at the University of Montreal. He became a Scholar in CIAR's Quantum Information Processing Program in 2004.
