Theme Leader:

Barry Sanders

Overview:

The field of quantum information will have a tremendous technological impact by building devices that can implement quantum algorithms and protocols. QuantumWorks researchers in this theme will investigate devices that are the building blocks to implement quantum information processing and provide the tools to assess the timescale and impact of quantum computing on information security. This theme will also explore physical implementation problems such as the imprecision and imperfections of realistic devices—essential information for assessing the security of realistic quantum cryptographic systems.
